TOLEDO, OH (TruckingNewsNow.com) — The Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys is proud to announce that the American Bar Association on Tuesday approved board certification for attorneys handling truck crash cases. It is the first and only ABA accredited board certification in Truck Accident Law in the country.

The Truck Accident Law Board Certification—three years in the making, and in partnership with the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA)—is designed to help consumers choose a qualified truck accident lawyer with objectively verifiable credentials.

In order to become certified in Truck Accident Law, lawyers will have to demonstrate a substantial percentage of their practice to trucking litigation, show hands-on experience in multiple truck accident cases and pass a comprehensive written exam.

“If someone hires a board certified truck accident attorney, they can now rest assured that this lawyer’s credentials have been fully vetted and their knowledge has been thoroughly tested,” explains Joe Fried, ATAA co-founder.

Adds ATAA co-founder Michael Leizerman: “Finally, there is an objective way for truck accident victims to choose a lawyer that does not rely on lawyer advertising or web pages.”
