Chantilly Oriental Rug Ordered To Pay FMCSA
WASHINGTON, DC (TruckingNewsNow.com) — A Notice of Claim issued to Shaaheen Mizani dab Chantilly Oriental Rug has generated a $7740 fine. Mizani is ordered to pay that fine within the next month.
According to the charging document which you can read in its entirety here, the Maryland Division Administrator fo the Federal motor Carrier Safety Administration issued the fine “for alleged violations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. The Notice of Claim, which stated that it was based on a July 6, 2014 compliance review, charged Petitioner with:
(a) one count of violating 49 CFR 385.337(b), with a proposed civil penalty of $7,200, for operating in violation of an FMCSA Out-of-Service Order issued for refusal to submit to a new entrant safety audit; and (b) one count of violating 49 CFR 390.19(b)(2), with a proposed civil penalty of $540, for failing to file the appropriate form under 390.19(b)(2) (MCS-150) each 24 months according to the schedule.
